Himachal is popularly known as Dev Bhoomi “Land of Gods”. In past few years, it has emerged as the best places for trekkers who love to face challenges and want to test their own will power rather than staying in comfortable hotels. The main areas for trekking in Himachal are Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal Ranges and there are many other treks out in Trans Himalayan Regions of Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti. The well known and defined treks in Himachal are 270 and the altitude will be 1500 meters to 6000 meters. There are well connected passes which make it easy to trek for all type of trekkers. The options are available to cross one pass and come back the other or can go straight to cross another on the next range. There are about 24 passes on the Dhauladhar, a 12 over the Pirpanjal range and 8-10 such passes over the Great Himalayan range to cross over to the Zanskar valley. Low scrub-land and paths through paddy fields, give way to trails strewn with pine needles.
