Day 01 : Leh – Phyang – Basco – Likir – Alchi. (72 Km)
Morning, after breakfast drive to Alchi with packed lunch. Enroute visit Phyang monastery – Buddhist monastery, established in 1515, contains numerous sacred shrines inside the monastery, frescoes dating from the royal period, and a 900 year old museum, Basgo Fort - 40 Kms downstream from Leh, it was the seat of power of branch of a Namgyal family. It was here in 1680 that invading Mongol and Tibetan armies were held in check over a three year old siege. Original 16th century murals and other arts at Basgo are well worth a visit, and Likir Monastery - It is picturesquely situated on a little hill in the valley near the Indus River. Evening visit Alchi monastery - situated on the bank of Indus River 70 km downstream from the capital in Leh. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Alchi.
Day 02 : Alchi – Lamayuru – Skurbuchan. (135 Km)
Morning, after breakfast drive to Lamayuru (65km, 3 hours of car) visit of the monastery, situated on the Srinagar - Kargil - Leh road 15 km east of the Fotu La, at a height of 3,510 m.After the visit, have packed lunch near the monastery. Later drive to Skurbuchan, which is about 70 Kms from there and it takes about 3 hours to reach there. Dinner and overnight camp near the village.
Day 03 : Skurbuchan – Dha Hanu – Skurbuchan.
Morning, after breakfast drive to Dha Hanu, at 20km of Skurbuchan Down the Indus between Khalse and the Shayok-Indus confluence lives the people known as Drokpa. Dhahanu is situated to the south west of Leh, around 163 kms, passing through the beautiful villages of Kaltsey, Domkhar, Skurbuchan and Achinathang. There are many small villages but only two villages of Dha and Hanu are open for tourist. Being on lower altitude Dhahanu is warmer than Leh. After the village visit drive back to Skurbuchan village. Dinner and overnight camp near the village.
Day 04 : Skurbuchan – Leh. (207 Km)
Morning, after breakfast drive back to Leh. Enroute have picnic lunch and arrive Leh in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.
